| "HOW THE WEST COAST WAS WON: Part 2"

(Match Synopsis taken from SKWPPV.COM) After watching about six fantastic grappling matches in a row, we decided to donate a bit of variety to the 2008 WWC by putting on two pro-style matches for our San Diego fans to enjoy! Even though these two battles were very last minute, we had a blast with them...and the ladies did a grand job of improvising and delivering the high spots, leading to some nice pops (that's "bursts of applause", for those not hip to the lingo) from the usually-grappling-obsessed crowd! The first battle features Sapphire vs Fantasy in a fast-paced back and forth battle with tons of your fave pro tactics, including arm-wringers, snapmares, armlocks, leglocks, reversals, chain wrestling, atomic drop, a brutal standing suplex, pump handle slam, camel clutch, boston crab, rope breaks, 2nd rope jumping snapmare, clothesline, somersault senton splash, X-Factor, leg nelson, fisherman's nckbreaker, and a final CODE RED finisher that took everyone in the room by surprise! Battle # 2 was the least popular of the two (most of the guys there had NO interest in seeing a dude in the ring...), but it's my personal favorite (for obvious reasons)! This one features Jackson vs SK in a brutal back and forth intergender battle with an awesome twist ending that doesn't suck (take THAT, M. Night Shyamalan!). SK takes an early lead with some arm attacks, but Jackson quickly returns the favor, forcing SK to flip onto the mats. The SKW dancer presses her advantage, landing a series of jumping split-splashes that wows the crowd. SK reverses with a suplex, following up with some high-flying splashes, but once again Jackson turns it around, trapping SK in a single-leg boston crab and then nailing one HELL of a suplex that once again surprised and delighted the Con crowd. She traps SK in a grapevine, adding some headbutts for emphasis, but SK goes for one last act of retaliation, reversing and trapping Jackson in a brutal boston crab that goes SO far that a few people in the audience actually voice their concerns...that is, until Jackson replies with a reversal standing neck scissors, coming back from SK's clothesline to finally trap the boss in a brutal camel clutch! Right as SK is about to tap, however, his buddy SAPPHIRE enters the ring and delivers a brutal kick to Jackson's back! Being that this is a no DQ match, the fight continues as SK and Sapphire prepare to nail a 2-on-1 standing suplex...only to have Jackson reverse it into a swing-out DOUBLE DDT! The ring is all chaos as Jackson slowly makes it to her feet...going for the attack on Sapphire, nailing a flawless flying neckscissors takedown and finally catching SK with a Frankensteiner that leaves him flattened for the 3 count win! -------------------------- The penultimate battle in this series begins with the lovely Frankie Z taking control of Jackson with great speed and power...trapping her in a reverse bearhug and takedown. After a lengthy headlock, Frankie moves in for the kill...applying a sleeper hold for the first KO of the battle! -------------------------- The saga continues, folks! This time we have the lovely Raquel (formerly known as Caliente) vs our very own pro powerhouse: Fantasy! This is an amazingly fast-paced battle that starts off with an instant headlock from Raquel...leading to a standing neck scissors, camel clutch, figure four leglock, neckscissors, and an eventual backbend/choke that puts Fantasy out for the first pin! -------------------------- The series continues as Jackson, one of our east coast veterans, goes up against a stunning and adorable west coast rookie by the name of Cara Bliss! This battle features the same most-pins-counts format of our previous matches, but this one includes some truly intense and fiery action between two determined combatants!
As we begin, the lovely Cara takes control, showing Jackson that her lack of experience doesn't immediately equal an easy win! A sudden piggy back sleeper hold wears Jackson down and out for the first score, followed by a brutal body scissors/sleeper combo that puts Jackson out yet again! Before Jackson can compose herself, Cara attacks with a sudden and tight bearhug that scores another KO for the newcomer. As if that weren't enough, the new girl scores yet AGAIN...and this time it's a piledriver that gets the point! As Jackson tries to steady herself, the overconfident Cara suddenly feels the veteran's fist ram her belly, setting her up for a sudden piggy back sleeper of her own that starts to turn the tide! After the KO, Jackson goes on a rampage, evening the score via massive split splashes grapevine, single-leg scissor KO, belly blows, snap mare, figure four neckscissors KO, stunner KO, triangle choke KO, and a brutal finishing KICK to the FACE that sends Cara flying for the final winning pin!
